I went to Marks Classic Cruise in Granby, CT tonight. there was a total of NINE HUNDRED FORTY FIVE cars there. (i dont know if thats normal for a car show, but it seemed pretty amazing to me.) The car that got the most attention was this creamsicle-colored Ford GT40 (not sure if its a replica or not, but Im guessing it is.) The car was extremely low to the ground, and also was easily the loudest car there; which is impressive considering the amount of 8-second camaros, modded Z06s, GT500s, and other 60s-70s- Mopar-Muscle that were there. Anyways, enough with this poorly-grammatically-structured paragraph, heres the pics!!!!

(please excuse that they are crappy iphone pics cropped by kinja and enjoy your late-monday-evening $kaybait)

You could have just edited the old post, but oh well!

I'd delete the old one to reduce the clutter on Oppo.

That's awesome!! I've certainly never seen that color before. I can imagine that it was a crowd pleaser. What a super car show that was. Thanks for sharing on Oppo..........and me. :D

Yes you're wrong for liking it more than the Gulf livery but it's fine because you could let Beiber and Brown custom paint it and I'd still lust over it.

no problem! it was quite the crowd pleaser. it was also hilarious that every 5 minutes there was a different middle-aged man explaining to his wife/kids why Ford built the GT40, and how it be Ferrari at Le Mans, and that it was called the GT40 because its 40" high. However, the sound this thing makes was no joke! Im still wondering if the owner actually autocrosses the car, based on the window sticker.

yeah it seems like every paint scheme somehow works well on the GT/ GT40. However, Id HATE too see some celebrity driving around in a Chrome GT...

I wonder too if he autocrosses it. Also, I noticed that it had a Gurney Bubble in the roof. That is way cool!

*shudder* the gravity of my prior statement just hit me, I think what's left of my soul would die if that ever happened.

Yeah, it looks like the bubble is for head-room. i bet everyone over 5'10" would probably need one lol. All i know is that seeing this beauty today makes me dream of owning a 5.0 coyote-powered GT40 replica with gulf, or "creamsicle" livery, and Daily Driving it each and every day of the year...

Oh, dont forget that it will be riding on 24" Forgiatos, with every window tinted to be blacker than the night sky, with the ride height raised 5", and butterfly doors, along with a wing thats wider than the Hoover dam!

OK! You win, I submit. Stop with the nightmare inducing descriptions. The U.S. should hire you for interrogating terrorists, you'd be way more persuasive than water boarding.

You have seen this color before, I've posted this car a few times ;)

And he does autocross it.

I know that car! The owner's an awesome dude. It is indeed a replica but is still a six figure car. He does autocross it and when I saw him do it (at the Goodguys autocross) he was a bit over-exuberant in some of the corners but the car was so quick he was still one of the three fastest. He also does track days and the Gurney bump is indeed there for that reason (so his helmet fits).

thats amazing! i also think its kind of funny that a replica of ANYTHING can still cost $100k lol. It must be awesome to drive!

I thought the GT40 you posted was a lighter color. How soon I forget.
